David McCall began his career as an attorney at a major oil company in 1974. He has extensive experience in drilling preparation, division order, acquisition, and financing title opinions. He has prepared thousands during his 48-year career.
David also has a considerable amount of experience as lead counsel in the preparation and trial of oil and gas litigation, condemnations, business litigation, as well as administrative and regulatory issues. He has appeared as counsel in 39 appellate decisions in courts involving significant oil and gas issues in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, including the Texas and Oklahoma Supreme Courts.
David represents both companies and individuals. His practice includes negotiating and drafting contracts in all phases of upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas operations. David also represents clients before regulatory agencies that control the exploration, production, and transportation of hydrocarbons, like the General Land Office of Texas and the Texas Railroad Commission.
Given the length of his career and his experience, David often serves as an Expert Witness in title disputes, oil and gas-related litigation, and high asset divorces where oil and gas properties are involved.
David obtained board certification as an oil, gas, and mineral specialist by the Texas Board of Legal Specialists in 1986. David is one of 390 attorneys in Texas who have obtained this certificate.
