Mr. Clark represents public and private companies in complex business transactions and litigation. His practice focuses on complex business transactions and litigation arising out of corporate financing, equity acquisitions, M&A, partnership disputes, joint ventures, breach of contract, and business formation, operation, and termination issues. Mr. Clark also represents clients in connection with the acquisition, ownership, financing, use, transfer, and disposition of commercial real estate.

  • Represented ranch owners in Texas’ first trial opposing a $54,000,000.00 345kV CREZ transmission line under the new Competitive Renewable Energy Zone (“CREZ”) legislation.
  • Represented a privately-owned real estate partnership in connection with the refinance of a $49,000,000.00 international commercial real estate loan.
  • Represented a privately-owned real estate partnership in connection with the purchase of a $7,050,000.00 commercial property.
  • Represented public and private lenders in single and multi-lender transactions involving commercial real estate projects.
  • Represented privately-owned companies in connection with the lease of Class A commercial real estate office and retail space.
  • Represented purchasers of a Class A multifamily real estate portfolio.
  • Representation of an individual in a complex commercial litigation trial in federal court resulting in a judgment in favor of client for $405,958.29, prejudgment interest in the amount of $154,375.92, and attorney’s fees yet to be decided by the court.
  • Representation of a private shareholder group in international litigation arising out of a breach of a complex business transaction.  Obtained judgments awarding $560,000 CAD and 1.4 million shares of stock for his clients.
  • Representation of Saratoga Resources Inc., Lobo Energy, Inc., and private shareholders in the negotiation of a private equity settlement in excess of $350,000.00 arising out of a reverse merger.
  • Negotiated a Trademark Co-Existence Agreement on behalf of Twin Liquors, L.P. and the Minnesota Twins, LLC.

  • Mr. Clark will present a paper on the ethics of social media in June 2012 at the Texas Advanced Administrative Law course.
  • Mr. Clark presented Yes, Judges Really Do Care About That! Lawyers' Most Common Citation Mistakes to the State Bar College's Consumer and Commercial Law Section in 2007.
